Northbrook, Illinois, November 1, 2024: the Allstate Foundation, in collaboration with the Center for Leadership Expansion and Opportunities (zeal), granted $ 10,000 each to 50 schools and universities. These funds will go directly to service programs led by young people and with young people on campus throughout the country. It is part of the national strategy of the Allstate Foundation to train young people to serve and improve communities.
“We believe that young people have innovative ideas to create impact on their communities, so it is important for us to equip them and train them with resources to transform their ideas into action,” said Greg Weatherford II, director of the Allstate Foundation and social impact. “These national subsidies are designed to put more dollars in the hands of youth leaders, gathering other young people by their side to accelerate the positive change where they live.”

About the Allstate Foundation
The Allstate Foundation empowers people and communities so that they can prosper. Established in 1952, the Foundation takes bold actions and inspires people to act by empowering young people to serve and improve communities, working to close the racial wage gap and interrupt the cycle of relationship abuse. The Foundation also supports non -profit leaders through the non -profit leadership center.
About the center for the expansion of leadership and opportunity (zeal)
Zeal is a non -profit organization committed to a world where high quality youth development opportunities are distributed as equally as the abundance of talent in our communities. Leaving almost two decades of innovative and incubated research in the Aspen Institute, zeal closes the gap between the academy and the practice to accelerate youth development and fulfill the promise of a greater impact.
