Smart Choice, a company based in North Carolina that works with independent agencies, reported record growth, with more than 1,450 agencies that join the network in 2024.

Last year he marked the eighth consecutive year with more than 1,000 agencies, together with the new operators, the company said in a press release. The firm, based in High Point, was launched in 1994 to help agencies that can be profitable, but ran the risk of losing the main operators because the agencies did not meet the growth objectives of the operators, said the founder said Doug Witcher on the Smart Growth website. It now has more than 10,000 associated agencies, throughout the country.

The company, owned by Worldwide Insurance Network, said the model does not require an initial payment to join, does not block agents in contracts and allows agents to retain full property. Smart Choice said it provides agencies access to markets, product training and sales and marketing support.

President Andrew Caldwell said in a statement that he expects the rapid growth rate to continue this year.
