Pen Unwresswriting, the general agent managing with London headquarters, announced a simplified divisional structure to gather the capacities and experience of central commercial subscription throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Under the central leadership of Sarah Breslin as managing director of the new commercial division of the United Kingdom and Ireland, PEN has gathered teams that offer a wide range of highly specialized commercial insurance and managed by risk, through properties, victims, fleets and financial lines.
The structural change follows the geographical expansion of the pen to Ireland last year, with the acquisition of Wrightway Underwriting, transport and transport specialist with headquarters at Wexford, which creates a platform to develop and distribute new products in the Irish market and the vice versa .
It also follows the decision of Richard Webb, as managing director of financial lines and responsibility for specialty of the United Kingdom, to withdraw from the industry after a career that covers almost 40 years, which began in a general accident before leadership positions in Hiscox , HCC, Manchester Unscriting Management and Pen. Webb will leave the pen at the end of this year.
“As a result of bringing Wrightway to the PEN family and establishing our first presence in the field in Ireland, we redouble our approach to the best way to grow and expand our business more regionally throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland,” said Tom Downey, Executive Director of Pen Unswriting.
“Richard’s decision to hang his ‘work boots’ gave rise to a natural opportunity to create a more unified commercial division that brings together all our complementary risk management specialties and subscription subscription,” he said.
“After leading the integration of Wrightway into the PEN family, as part of its role as MD of our specialized division, Sarah is ideally located to lead the expanded and combined commercial division to deliver what the runners and their clients need, When and where they and where they need it, ”Downey added.
Then he thanked Webb for his contribution to the company and industry in general. “Its breadth of experience, market knowledge, sector collaboration and divisional leadership have been of great benefit to the pen and leave their teams specialized in a solid position to continue their growth and evolution consistent under Sarah’s leadership.”
Pen now has four commercial divisions: Commercial – United Kingdom and Ireland; SME and personal lines; International; and public sector. The new structure brings together the previous divisions of specialties and specialized responsibility for the specialty of the United Kingdom. All products and regional leaders within the new commercial division of the United Kingdom and Ireland, and their specialized teams remain unchanged.
